The Mid-century experience

There is new open-plan retro kitchen fully equipped with gorgeous green Big Chill appliances - a gas oven and new dishwasher - a new Sub Zero fridge, custom 50's style birch cabinets and a solid cypress bar all made by Dale. The bathroom is a divine shade of pink with original tile and a new toilet. There are cool terrazzo floors throughout and eclectic, mid-century style furniture and decor, including a credenza and a huge surfboard made by Dale. Our hand-picked art hangs on the wall and we love to showcase local talent. We installed modern central air and heat so you will be cozy in the winter and cool all summer long! The windows and patio doors are all new and hurricane proof. This apartment has it's own outdoor garden space in front with a table and chairs and hammock. The newly landscaped garden is fabulous to share with other guests. There are palms, tropical plants galore and chairs and umbrellas and hammocks, creating different seating areas to relax and read.  There are bbq grills and outdoor dining areas for guests use. It is a wonderful garden to entertain and great for those who want to celebrate an event and rent the whole house for friends and relatives. We can provide bikes, surf boards, flippers and snorkels, coolers, beach chairs and many other things for the beach. This unit has it's own washer/dryer and there is another one at the back of the house. Parking available on site ( 1 spot per unit ). Gorgeous sunsets are also offered at no extra charge!

The neighborhood

Our quiet street is one of the nicest on Lido Key, all low rises, with a quaint "time stood still" feel. Lido Pavilion and pool are 1/2 block away and the beach just beyond it. Make your coffee in the morning and wander barefoot to drink it at the water's edge. At the other end of Grant Drive are parks and mangroves and we are minutes away from nature trails, kayak rentals and access to the 4 bodies of water that make up the beautiful 100 acre South Lido Beach Park. It's the perfect place to run, stroll, bike and explore.

Nearby is the elegant St Armand's Circle where you can shop and dine at wonderful restaurants like Shore and Venezia ( we will give you a long list of places all over Sarasota when you arrive! ). In fact with the bus at the end of our street that goes downtown you don't even need to rent a car during your stay! Downtown Sarasota, just across the gorgeous Ringling Bridge, also offers plenty. We love the Sarasota Opera, the Ringling Museum, the Historic Asolo Theatre, the shops on Main Street, the Marina and the hundreds of different places to eat and drink.
